Talos is an early-access private AI appliance we configure on your own hardware. It helps track reminders, routines, private knowledge, conversations, and approved actions without defaulting your daily life to a cloud AI account.
Selective trial installs · Hardware quoted before purchase · No credit card to apply
Two distinct surfaces
This trial site is a standard public web page. Your Talos appliance — the Mac mini or other local machine we set up for you — is a private system designed to run local model inference and local memory by default. Web research, messaging, smart-home control, and business connectors are enabled only when you choose and configure them.
Trial program
Talos is not a mass-market download yet. Trial customers get a guided fit call, a quoted hardware plan, a configured local install, and a practical handoff focused on the workflows that matter most in their home or work.
We start with the people, routines, devices, documents, and work context you actually want Talos to track. If local AI is the wrong fit, we say so before anyone buys hardware.
Hardware is quoted before purchase, then configured with local models, memory, voice, approved integrations, and a clear boundary for what stays private.
The trial is about reliability: reminders that do not silently disappear, memories you can inspect, answers with limits, and actions that ask before crossing a real-world line.
Family + work
The first trial installs should focus on a narrow, useful loop. Family installs start with household memory and routines. Work installs start with private context, follow-up, and local knowledge.
What Talos does
Talos uses open-weight local models and owner-approved integrations. Trial installs are meant to prove the loops that matter in real use, not promise a flawless oracle. Individual capabilities depend on the hardware tier, connected devices, and setup scope.
Conversations, memory, and local knowledge live on your hardware by default. Cloud services enter only through explicit owner-approved connectors or exports.
Talk to Talos from anywhere on your home network using a wake phrase. Local speech recognition and local speech output are the goal for private daily use, with device support verified during setup.
Talos tracks people, preferences, routines, open loops, and reminders across sessions. Important reminders should be durable, reviewable, and visible instead of disappearing into a chat transcript.
Talos integrates with Home Assistant to control lights, climate, scenes, media, and other supported smart-home devices. Consequential actions stay approval-first unless explicitly configured otherwise.
Ask Talos to summarize local documents, build private knowledge, or research owner-approved sources. Answers can cite local evidence, but AI can still be wrong and should be corrected when it is.
Talos can inspect codebases, edit approved files, run bounded checks, and leave receipts of what it changed and why. This is useful for private code and internal tools where sending context to a hosted assistant is not acceptable.
Important trial reality
Talos is useful because it keeps state, not because local models are magic. The trial program is where we prove the hard parts: not forgetting important reminders, surfacing stale or uncertain memory, and asking before taking actions that affect your home, messages, calendar, files, or business.
Pricing model
Talos is sold as an installed private system first, not a self-serve SaaS account. Trial customers receive a quote for hardware, installation, and optional support before buying anything.
Exact pricing is confirmed at quote time. No hidden remote-control services, required hosted-model subscription, or appliance telemetry fees. Apply for the trial program to start the fit conversation.
Trial access
This is a selective early program, not a mass signup. Tell us whether you want Talos for family, work, or both, and what you need it to remember, remind, summarize, or connect.
